Our Mission

Inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold by providing educational, recreational, and cultural programs to girls in a safe environment to enable them to raise their aspirations and realize their potential.

Our Vision

Our vision is a world where girls are empowered, and society is equitable.

Our Guiding Principles

1.) We expand the learning capacity of girls, increasing possibilities.

2.) We develop programming for academic, social-emotional and physical/ mental health (aligned with national organization).

3.) We encourage girls to be lifelong learners and life-long participants in Girls Inc.

4.) We help girls develop a sense of purpose and confidence to become strong, smart and bold.

Girls Inc. of St. Louis has a rich and successful history of being the only organization that offers programming in an all-girls environment. Girls Inc. of St. Louis was established in 1981 as the Girls Club of Soulard.

In the 1980s, the club joined the Girls Incorporated National organization.

Our programming has focused on providing girls with the information, skills, strategies, and resources to help them make decisions, solve problems, meet their own needs and lead others.  Our activities provide the opportunity to experience success as they grow to understand their options, meet responsibilities and reach new heights.

For 42 years, Girls Inc. has been evolving with girls.

We not only support girls, we also equip them and give them the opportunity to envision, and then create, a more equitable future.

Girls Inc. is the leading expert on girls.

Working with and on behalf of girls for 42 years has given us unparalleled knowledge and expertise. The Girls Inc. Experience changes the trajectory of girls’ lives and prepares them for lifelong success.

Girls Inc. has served millions of girls across the United States and Canada.

Our participants are equipped with the skills to lead and create positive change in their communities.

Girls’ Bill of Rights
